Could you be experiencing hormonal changes right now. I wonder if at all you are missing being pregnant?

I know after I had my daughter I really wanted another one straight away, probably around the same stage you are at right now. But I am glad I waited until my daughter was 16 months before we started to really try again, and at that time I just quit feeding. For me the turning point was when my daughter started teething, there were a lot of late nights and grizzly behaviour from DD, then there was growth spurts she was taking. I honestly dont think I could have enjoyed being pg again with all the changes my little girl was going through.

I cant tell you what to do, its purely your decision, but if it were me in your situation, I would totally wait, your child will be going through a lot of changes over the next year and through her changing, you will be changing, and learning through her, how to deal with the next one.

My sister had 4 kids in 4 years all in September because she got pregnant while nursing so it could happen to anyone!

My first two babies are 14 months apart. We had the "whatever happens" mentality.  I was breastfeeding when I got pregnant.  

 

No, you don't need to feel bad about wanting another one, perfectly fine!  Also, yes you will have enough love to go around.  I think it is a fear in all moms that only have one.  I think personally one of the greatest gifts you can give your little on is a sibling!!

I was breastfeeding when I got pregnant. We had the "whatever" mentality and I got pregnant when she was only 6.5 months old. Now I love my kids but if I had it to do over again, I would have spaced them to at least 2 years apart.

 

As for the period comment from your obgyn, that's not always true. I know plenty of moms who got their periods while exclusively breastfeeding, including myself.

Yes you can get pregnant while breasttfeeding. And as far as your period, I got mine while breastfeeding my son.

 

I have two children 22 months apart and I felt I loved my daughter so much how could I possibly share that with another- well my son came along and I could not imagine my life without him. You have plenty of love to give.

 

Check with your obgyn there is a birth control pill you can safely take while breastfeeding. No one caan tell you when you should or will be ready. Just make sure you are completly healed from your first pregnancy. Your daughter is only 15 weeks- she is still very new.

 

And it is so completly normal to miss being pregnant- I did. And some days still do (my daughter is 3 and my son 1 1/2).
