A Mom Blog Social Network
I just have to ask... does anyone blog/write simply because they love to write? No expectations or desire for monetary gain?

Permalink Reply by Christine Calvin on January 19, 2012 at 4:56pm I do. I don't advertise on my blog, so I make nothing. I just need to write. Not want, NEED.
Permalink Reply by Byn Always on January 20, 2012 at 12:55pm I have had a livejournal since 2003 that I write in daily just for the sake of writing and sharing with my friends on there, but it isn't a public 'blog' because it IS my journal and I share pretty much EVERYTHING on there. It would probably be way too much TMI for public consumption!
My BLOG is for more getting the word out about the children's show I'm creating, and will be a place to park the videos that I make for kids. I hope for it to be a very interactive thing with kids, but I don't know that it will be a money making thing. If it is, that's great. Raising 5 kids on basically one income for the last decade has been really really difficult!
Permalink Reply by Amanda Sachs on January 24, 2012 at 9:46am Yep! I write so my family that is not in state can be caught up on what is going on and to get my thoughts out there.
Permalink Reply by Jennie(Tidbitz) on January 27, 2012 at 4:52pm I think - am I the only one? So for certain I blog for the love of it. I have never made a penny on my blog. Maybe one day. Blogging isnt as personal as it used to be. I love to find blogs of people having real experiences and blogging their real thoughts....not just self promoting or having a giveaway or discussing some random review. How many coupon/freebie/giveaway sites can you possibly follow? And because I blog for fun...I sometimes feel like an under achiever, since I am not earing money doing so or have 5000 followers. But I just keep blogging because I love it!
Permalink Reply by Domestic Mama Ashley on January 30, 2012 at 2:12pm I do ! I love to blog, so my friends and family can see what I am up too ! My blog is not an income for me, nor do I have lots and lots of followers. My blog is a time a get for myself. It keeps me sane :)
Permalink Reply by Jennifer on February 13, 2012 at 6:39pm I just visited your blog. It's lovely. I look forward to future postings!

Permalink Reply by Stephanie Sherie on January 31, 2012 at 10:20am I definately do! I am a teacher at heart so anything I learn in life I just want to share!
I blog just to write. My husband is gone pretty much 6 days a week. So it is just the kids and I. My blog has become my outlet. My adventures because there are things I am going through by myself, my recipes, the crafts I do with my kids. I havent done any reviews or giveaways. But I have a thing on there stating that I would be open to them. I am not going to spend hours on end searching for those things though. I did get an affiliate link for coupons (which I will get compesated for) but I did it so it was easier to link to the coupons directly. Not for the money.

Permalink Reply by Franchesca on February 13, 2012 at 2:02pm Yes. I also find that I get the hugest response from readers when I write what's on my heart.
Personally, I love reading blogs also writing for encouragement and enjoyment rather than monetary gain, though I know it would be nice to get paid to write ;)
