I couldn't agree with you more... honest, heart-felt postings are the ones that grab my readers the most.

I've read so much "info" about blogging. I find it interesting that it's encouraged that if you want to make any money off of your blog, you have to find a niche and stick with it. I judt can't do that! I write about parenting, activity ideas, the latest recipe I tried, my latest craves, my recent artistic experiments, my latest sorrows... I write with the tides of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Jennifer, I love that you put this out there and I love to see 4 pages of responses from the "I do's!" I adore writing. Sure I have a few ads and I'm psyched if I make enough off of them to cover the cost of my web host, but like most others, I'd do it no matter what!

I have enjoyed watching everyone's response to this discussion.

I love writing too. I wish I could make money off of it but even if someone said I would never receive any monetary gain, ever... I would still write.

I'm kind of shy when I first meet people and I'm an awkward conversationalist, but when I write, I bare my soul with ease. I think that's why I love writing so much.

I look forward to seeing more responses.

I have a fairly new blog, no ads and very few followers this early on. I write about what I go through as an imperfect mom to help other moms feel better, laugh along with me and encourage mom-to-mom venting sessions. www.ventingsessions.com

YES!  It is the main reason I write.  I have been blogging for quite some time but recently decided to expand my horizons and share my blog posts!  I actually have just started thinking about making money blogging.  Although employed full time, my career and my writing have nothing to do with one another.  Some people watch TV to wind down... I write.  Fortunately, I love it!
