A Mom Blog Social Network
I began homeschooling our oldest last year. I quickly learned that social media time would be very limited. I put in a lot of early morning hours on Bloggy Moms stuff and planning the Bloggy Conference.
This morning, a lot of schools in our area are beginning a new school year. A lot of moms are relieved to get a little more time for themselves. They will have a little extra quiet time to work on their to-do list and maybe enjoy a book, maybe.
We begin our homeschool year next Monday. My time for work will drastically be cut. Our oldest will begin 1st grade and our youngest is starting Kindergarten a year early. I do plan on letting him {our youngest} discontinue and restart the Kindergarten year next year if it appears he is actually not ready. However, even at this moment, he is very excited and is currently drawing 'O' after 'O' on a sheet of paper. Sometimes he accidentally makes a small 'e'.
Though my time for social media will be reduced, I seem to do better when I'm scheduled and given a time limit. Otherwise, I may find myself viewing picture after picture on various blogs and profiles... and work gets pushed back.
So how does the school year benefit your social media and blogging plans?

I told my husband yesterday that I could stay on the computer all day long and never be caught up in every network/outlet. It's crazy! My son will be in school all day for the first time ever, so that will give me a little more free time, although my daughter will still be home with me. So, I'll try to do stuff after 10 at night and before 7 in the morning. Burning the candle at both ends of the stick! I'm going to try to delve deeper into the whole social media thing and learn more once he's in school though so that I can really make a go of this thing!
Good Luck with your homeschooling plans!!

We still have 2 weeks left before school starts here in the Midwest, but I look forward to routine!

On the one hand, having only my two younger ones at home and underfoot is nicer/easier to get things done. But I am HORRID at scheduling myself and my time. I just know there's some magical recipe or formula that will tell me step by step how to fit everything in and do it all and be GREAT at it all.
For now, I'm hoping that actually attempting to create a schedule, and then forcing myself to stick to it will help me fit it all in! Now to find that Pinterest/blog/website/tweet that had that great schedule making thingamajiggy...ooooo look! something shiny!!!
