A Mom Blog Social Network
kind of gotten off track?
Maybe it's just me, and maybe I am wrong, but isn't this forum supposed to be here for us to connect with each other and exchange thoughts and ideas and to get help and suggestions? It seems like it has been used a lot more for blog post teasers.
Now, I am all for blog promotion and all, but I would love a place to go to knock around thoughts and ideas with other mommy bloggers. This doesn't happen much here anymore. I have to admit that I don't even come around as often as I used to, or would like to (if it were a place where more ideas were shared & questions answered)... I'd love to pop in and ask something & get some feedback. I'd be more than willing to provide my feedback to others. Anyone else feel the same way?

Permalink Reply by Amy Bliss on April 30, 2012 at 6:00am Yay! and HI! Amy here. It's difficult, isn't it??
What would you like to talk about?
Permalink Reply by Susie on April 25, 2012 at 6:18pm I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way.
I am going to make it a point to try to get over here at least a few times a week to ask/answer questions and such. Maybe if more of us start doing that, it will be a more helpful forum. :-)
Permalink Reply by Amy Bliss on April 30, 2012 at 6:01am I hope it will be more helpful, definitely.

Permalink Reply by Tiffany Noth on April 30, 2012 at 7:47am Thank you! That is definitely it's intention. To be a helpful place where moms can discuss everything ;-)
Permalink Reply by Michelle D. Garrett on April 25, 2012 at 10:37pm I'm committing myself to becoming more involved and engaged...thanks for the kick in the pants I needed :) I love having an environment where I can share and collaborate with other bloggers. Look forward to getting to know you all better!
Permalink Reply by Amy Bliss on April 30, 2012 at 6:02am Me too. What do you like to do, what's your parenting style?
:)
Permalink Reply by Michelle D. Garrett on May 6, 2012 at 10:21pm Hi Amy! I consider myself to be authoritive - I make the rules and expect them to be followed but there is a lot of discussion and some flexibility when necessary
Permalink Reply by Amy Bliss on May 7, 2012 at 3:54am I'm pretty laid back, I guess. I let them know who's in charge, but we have a lot of fun and I'm not worried about them getting dirty or telling me exactly what's on their mind. Thankfully its worked. :)
I'm a non-custodial parent, though. I think it gives me a little more leeway. It's really difficult, but good.
Permalink Reply by Michelle D. Garrett on May 11, 2012 at 8:51pm I can see a non-custodial parent being more laid back...the time you spend together is more about quality. I'm definitely one of those parents that doesn't mind my kiddos getting dirty or expressing themselves. My 4 year old wore 2 different shoes for about a month just because. It didn't bother me a bit, but there were some people it drove bonkers!!!
Permalink Reply by Tiffany Noth on April 30, 2012 at 7:46am You're very right... I think people are using it to get around the fact that only Featured Blog Posts are showing on the main page.
