Yes, unless it's my husband! lol He once pureed a ham and stuffed a chicken with it.  Another time, he made "potatoe soup", in a crock pot for 1/2 an hour 3 raw skinned potatoes, a can of corn (undrained), milk, water, butter.  And another time, he forgot to take the giblets out of the chicken, which he didn't season or even cook all the way (1/2 hr in the oven is not done).  He is only allowed to cook the Thanksgiving turkey which I stuff and he overcooks every year, but it makes him feel good.

I am fairly new to blogging, twitter, fb, etc. but I told myself that I would give it a try and I am really enjoying where it is going.  I am really looking for a way to express myself and reconnect with some old friends and hopefully make some new friends in the process.  I have been writing on my life, as you will see my site is titled "Finding Happiness in Life: The Diary of Me" and it's just that.  Any and everything that may come across my mind to write about. 

 

A little more about me...

The greatest things in my life are my wonderful children and loving family.  I love being a mommy more than anything else!  I have a passion for the simple things in life, I won't pass up the opportunity to stay home and make a home cooked meal and bake cookies for the kiddos.  At the same time, I also enjoy the more extravagant things from time to time.  Like putting on a pair of stilettos and a pick your jaw up off the floor outfit and look phenomenal for a night out on the town.  I love football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs! (GO CHIEFS!!!!)  I have been through some very horrible times in my life but I always try to look on the bright side and find a positive in the negative.

What's your blogging philosophy? Be honest. Be open. Be REAL. Write and let the words fall where they may. I'm not a perfect woman or wife or mother. I'm hoping that being honest and comfortable about my faults and failures (and joys and successes) will help others to be as well. Life's too short to spend it pretending to be something we're not. So let's just enjoy this jumbled imperfect mess called life together.

 

Hope you'll stop by and read. I haven't posted since before Christmas. I'm in the middle of family visits and traveling and making some big decisions for my family that's put the blogging on hold for a week or so. But I'll be back after the New Year!
