Not very long ago do I come across a mom who said that
They were holding their Pre-k boy back because he wasn't mature
Enough to grace the kindergarten with his presence.
Can that really be said without someone rolling their eyes.
I've worked I. Early childhood edu for a hefty time, and I've had some tough cookies
, kids you might want to smack em' one, ones that you silently pray that they
Are sick and stay home so you can have a break. I can't for sure agree that kids that age
Have a " mature" bone I their body, come on, their just kids.
Is it the parents who fail to discipline their kids, or teach them at home what the school will expect of
Them, not in a speech but having them sit at the table coloring pictures, practicing their name. What do
You think? Is there a such thing as a mature or immature Pre-k kid?
