Hi Lisa, from another Lisa! :) Nice to see you here at Bloggy Moms. Unfortunately, the food area doesn't appear to be busy at all which makes me sad. I'm new here too and new to blogging also. I started my blog 1 month before yours.

Your site looks fantastic. Love that photo of you and your family. You all look so happy. I have 3 kidlets, all girls but mine are all growing up now. From 7-11, eek! Your blog brought back fond memories when mine were little bubbas. I loved everything about that but sadly doesn't last too long and they end up growing up into tweens and teens complete with big attitudes, lol.

Hi there!! Nice to "meet" you! It's too bad there's no action in the food area, right?!! Thanks so much for the compliments!!! I'm very new blogging and I'm always comparing my blog to others (but that could also be because I'm such a perfectionist! lol!) I have to say you have me concerned about the "terrible tweens!!" lol! I have a long way to go before that happens! Btw, I LOVE your website too! It's simple (meaning not overrun by advertisements, etc) yet elegant. I'll be checking in...

Hi there! Another new bloggy mom, although not a new blogger. I am sad to hear the food area isn't so busy, since that is me as well.  Have you guys been happy with the Bloggy Mom community? WHat has it done for you? Have you made friends?

Hi there! I had joined a discussion a few months ago regarding the fact that most of these sites have simple become portals to advertise your blog! I try to comment on posts whenever I can, and also add my own posts. The comment feedback has been grim unfortunately! I haven't made many new "friends" per say, but a few people have taken note of my site. I only come on every so often as it's quite discouraging...my initial impression of these sites was in fact, to get new followers, but to also make "friends!!!" How's it going for you?!!

First of all, thank you! And you can find me on twitter at TheSpicedLife (in answer to your question on my site). I seem to vacillate between being active on FB and twitter--I find it hard to sustain both! Right now is a little more FB, where you can also find me as The Spiced Life.  But I always check both accounts.  How about you?

From the little browsing I have done it really does seem like it is more about advertising your blog. I guess that's ok if it is expected--I always wonder if people find it off putting though... Which I guess means I'll probably lurk and vacillate lol.  I was extra excited because BM is located in Cinci, which I live outside of, and it seems like everything else is always far away from me (things like the Food Buzz conference and all the others whose names are escaping me right now).

Not that I know any Cincinnati bloggers lol.
