Today was a LONG day- and it isn't even over.

To make matters worse, the Mini-Master threw the biggest fit imaginable while we were at a play date and started to bolt for the nearest exit.

What SHOULD have happened: I grab him in the nick of time and corral him back to where he needed to stay.  He smiles at me adoringly and listens promptly for the remainder of the playdate.

What ACTUALLY happened:  I overestimated how far away he was, how fast he was going, and underestimated my arm length, knocking my 15 month old SWIFTLY on his butt.  He continued to scream and refused to play at all, choosing instead to repeatedly calculate his next escape route.

So, in honor of my *ahem* amazing parenting skills, I'm giving away an award of sorts on Confessions from Boystown's FB page to anyone who cares to share their own 'Mommy Award' moment.  Its not much, but I've heard that venting is cathartic.
