I have received a lot of nice compliments in my time here on Earth, but this one my friend wrote on my FB recently brought a tear to my eye:
"i sadly know, so many people, who have taken the gift, and stress, and ultimate awesomeness of new life and just taken advantage or simply not cared, i'm glad to be good friends with someone that adores it, doesn't deny the hard times, but EMBRACES the good ones even if they seem like simple everyday things, you're a beautiful mama, and seeing you as one makes me so glad to know you."
How sweet, right?
Thanks for asking!!

Permalink Reply by Vanita on May 27, 2012 at 8:43am Though I like those that refer to me looking as young as my teens, the best is the ones where I'm complimented for how helpful and courteous my teens are
Permalink Reply by Christina Heafner Allred on May 28, 2012 at 8:16am My daughter, who is autistic, told me that I was so important to her that she didn't need me to "away from her ever." This permanent invitation into her personal space is the highest compliment she has ever given anyone. :)
Permalink Reply by Niki A. on May 28, 2012 at 10:46am I am not sure what the best compliment I have recieved. I guess the top 1 is that I am an amazing woman and mother. :)
This was from my MIL.

A close second was when my boyfriend at the time (an actor) said he could take me anywhere, superfical but still amazing.
Permalink Reply by Iva G on June 6, 2012 at 10:38pm Just some background before I get to the compliment: my husband and I were at the funeral of a friend who had passed away, he was only 35 and had four small children all under the age of 9, and we stayed till the very end. When the visitation ended and the vast majority of mourners left we were outside of the funeral home with the deceased siblings and close family and friends telling stories about him, and I was lightening the mood with some adult silliness, after about 45 minutes his widow walked out of the funeral home to join us, the crowd stopped talking and she stood right next to me. I turned to face her and started having a real conversation with her. This allowed all others to continue conversing and the awkwardness soon passed.
My husband said he could not believe my ability to take the most uncomfortable situations and make them not only bearable but "easier" for all involved. He even pointed out I could talk to friends who are going through divorces and cancer and make them comfortable. He told me that was one of my strengths. That's the best compliment I've ever received.
Permalink Reply by Raquel on June 7, 2012 at 8:34pm When a boss told me that I was one of the most professional & concientious people that they had ever met! Oh, and of course, when I get carded (which is getting rarer these days)....gotta love that!

Permalink Reply by Sonja Harmon on June 15, 2012 at 12:55pm Fun! I think the best compliment that I've ever been given is that I'm funny. I love that. Even though sometimes I wonder why people think that haha!
Permalink Reply by Sonja Harmon on June 15, 2012 at 1:09pm I also have to add (can I do that? lol) another compliment that tops the funny one. A sweet sweet girl who I met through blogging (who is now an IRL friend!) shared a picture of me along with this caption on Instagram. "Not to get all sappy but twitter and this friendship is beautiful. Met only once IRL and yet when I'm low and needing prayer or nonjudgemental advice or hell just a good laugh it's her texts, blog, tweets I tune to. So shout out to @runinpearls for kicking ass! You don't know the people you touch.!"
I think that was the nicest thing anyone has ever, ever said about me! :)
