Hi Melissa. I had two reasons to start blogging. The first was a decision our family made to try and eat more healthy. In order to do that, I went to the food magazines and began making things from scratch, staying away from processed goods and preservatives. Then, while making a food magazine recipe, I found one that had a huge mistake in it and thought to myself, wouldn't it be nice if someone had told me about that. And so my blog was born; making recipes from magazines and telling folks how they work out.  We're eating so much better thanks to the from-scratch cooking, which is still the main goal, but it's also broadened our food horizons and introduced the whole family to new dishes that are now favorites.

I started blogging {putting my thoughts and activities online} when I was a teenager, way back in 1996!  Mainly because I had something to say and someone just had to hear it!  There weren't blog platforms back then and even the word 'blog' had not been invented yet. 

 

But I used sites like angelfire to record everything and let myself be heard.  And yes, it's much cheaper than therapy! ;-)

I also started blogging as a teenager. There's only so much you can do when you're a computer nerd at a boarding school... Plus I have that bonus "creative type" going on, so there was a lot of extra drivel that needed to get out. Definitely cheaper than therapy!

Hi. I started blogging because we live out in the country, and there's literally nothing to do!!! We do have one library! But the books, oh lord, the books are nothiing like the books in Fl. where we're from! They really don't have much of a selection at all! and with blogs, I can read all I want! Plus, it's a place to make friends, and share your thoughts! I'm still kinda on edge about it, just a little. When I was younger, I had a diary, hardback kind, and my mom found it, and she got extremely angry with what I had written in it! But, they were my thoughts!! She should've at least respected that. Since then, I was to scared while I was living at home to keep a diary. Until the internet came along!! And like it's been said, it's way cheaper than therapy!! LoL...

While working as a freelance writer I got tired building content on blogs for other people and decided to create my own and I am having a blast. I have finally taken the work out of what was supposed to be a hobby that I just happened to make money from ;-)

I started blogging to meet other moms. I knew nothing about babies or children when I got pregnant and none of my friends had children.

I went overseas for Uni studies so I was away from a lot of family and friends. Blogging was a way for me to keep in contact with them.. and much easier than sending emails to each and every one of them! Nowadays, it's a way for me to note down my little bub's precious milestones and my family's special moments :)
