Try two covers for now then.  You can hand wash and hang to dry one soiled cover while using the other.  You don't have to change the cover everytime baby urinates, just wipe the inside of the cover when changing the cloth diaper.  But you (obviously lol) have to change it when baby deficates and any gets on the cover.  Which can happen. 

Also, make sure that when you put on the PUL cover, that none of the PUL part touches baby skin.

Hi, Brandi.

 

The plain clothe diapers do not have a water proof barrier so when baby "goes" the liquid will leak onto clothing.  Some EC mamas don't use the covers so that they can feel more quickly if baby has to go.  But normally, you need some covers.  Thirsties makes some decent ones. I own 5 myself and find that to be a good number.  How many plain cloth diapers do you own?  We have 2 dozen, plus an AIO, and 5 pockets, along with our nighttime Hemp pockets.
