A Mom Blog Social Network
Hi everyone. My name is Desiree and I am the blogger behind http://themiraclemomma.wordpress.com. I'm sure quite a few of you who are new members of Bloggy Moms are also fairly new to the mommy blogger world. I know I am. I started my blog in February of this last year.
I'm very proud of my views I have so far. I average about 50-100 views a day. I also have over 250 Twitter followers. I am so proud of each and every one of them. I wouldn't really consider my blog a niche blog. I talk about my life being a new mom, ptsd, and ppd. I also write product reviews, post freebies on Wednesdays, and hope to run giveaways. I see it as my outlet and a way for me to do what I truly enjoy: social media.
I was just wondering.. how do you guys deal with rejection? Right now I'm e-mailing companies asking if they have free samples they could send so I could review them. So far I haven't heard a response back on the 6 of the 8 companies at this one. One of them said they would get back to me, and the other one rejected it.
Maybe it's just my hormones but the rejection really discouraged me tonight. If anyone is apart of CrowdTap I also got rejected to do the Old Navy Style Council tonight as well which didn't help. How do you deal with the rejection? I know I'm going to continue with my blog. I love blogging and things will eventually start going the direction I want them to. I just really, really need some words of encouragement or even some advice on how to make my blog more appealing for companies to want send me samples. So far I'm reviewing products I have in my house, and websites that interest me.
Thanks for taking the time to read. If anyone wants to talk to me on Twitter you can follow me @TheMiracleMomma

I don't promote products or do reviews on my blog, maybe someday, but I do know about the rejection aspect of things. I worked with a number of non-profits (one I founded) for years and continue to today. I am constantly harassing companies to offer something to help these organizations for events of every kind. Its not in anyway easy to wait and hear nothing or to simply get rejection after rejection. But when the time comes that you actually get something super great, it gives you so much mileage to keep on pushing forward. The mindset that I keep is that I didn't have anything to begin with, I am not really losing anything by asking. If you keep at it, eventually it will produce results that will really get you to where you want to be, do the reviews and such on your blog.
I am not sure that that helps too much, but you have a great blog! Keep at it!
-Kathy
