A Mom Blog Social Network
NaNoWriMo is upon us, but still we must write. here's your monthly prompts and instructions:
There are 4 weeks in this month, if we count the first day of December at the end. Rather than posting a weekly prompt, I'm going to list 4 prompts here for you, and leave the linky open for the month, to close on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:59 pm.
Take one prompt (any order) and write on it, post it to your blog, then link it up. You can link up as many as 4 times, preferably in response to the 4 different prompts. Please, link up your prompt responses only. The word counts are listed at each prompt. Remember, all genres and forms of writing are acceptable.
And your prompts are:
1. Write a 200 word "synopsis" of your current work in progress.
2. Use the first line of JoAnne Harris' Chocolat for inspiration. You have 500 words starting with: "We came on the wind of the carnival."
3.Write a love story that occurs during any holiday of your choosing. You have 750 words for this.
4. Use this picture as inspiration to write a 1,000 word or less story:
