This week is going to be a little tricky. I decided to wait until next week to give you a new prompt since the prompt and link up will be going up together from now on. You will get a whole week to write on the prompt and link it up.
So, for this week, the last prompt you were given was to write about a character who is obsessed with certain colors. Make your character come to life through his/her obsession, and do it in 600 words or less.
If you went over the word count, it's okay. The reason for the word count is to help you write tighter, choosing the words you use and how you phrase them more carefully, and to help keep your stories from "wandering."
If you were inspired by this prompt, whether it is fiction or non-fiction, 600 words or less (OR MORE!!!) please link up. There are few "rules":
1. Make sure you have the Bloggy Moms Writer's workshop badge displayed in the post
2. Link to the URL (not your blog) so we can easily access your writing.
3. Try to read at least those who link up right before and right after you.
4. Be thoughtful and kind in your comments, but don't be afraid to offer criticism in a positive way (try using the Sandwich method for critiquing until you get more comfortable giving it) so that we can all grow as writers.
--At the same time, if you definitely want critique, please note that at the bottom of your post so we know that you are open to it. (Critiques aren't always possible. When that happens, tell them what you liked the best about the story, what part really brought you in, etc. Try to avoid pointing out individual punctuation and grammar errors as they can be perceived as "nit-picking").
5. Leave a comment that you linked up because many of us have email notification alerting us.
So, let's see what you came up with. Link up will be live through 11:59 PM EST on Saturday.

Permalink Reply by Stephanie on January 2, 2012 at 2:49pm I should also add that I tend to tweet out your posts if I know your twitter name. If you add the twitter button to the bottom of your posts, it is that much easier for me to spread the word. If not, feel free to reply to this comment with your twitter handle, or add your twitter handle when you comment each week to the link up.
Permalink Reply by Stephanie on January 3, 2012 at 1:03pm Heh. It would help if I used "2012", eh? LOL. Try it now. It should be working.
Permalink Reply by ImeldaS on January 3, 2012 at 2:55pm Hello, I posted something in the group. I am sorry that I might have posted that story several times. Please blame pure unadulterated excitement about being able to write something for it. And please feel free to remove it too if it does not conform with the prompt. :-) Thanks.
Permalink Reply by Stephanie on January 4, 2012 at 3:48pm It's all good. I started to read but life got busy and the kids got demanding so I am heading back there now.

Permalink Reply by Stephanie on January 7, 2012 at 5:18pm Well, I linked up with an old story I wrote a few months ago that totally fits the prompt. I ran out of time (pushing the timelimits on just about all of my writing group prompts this week!) so I thought I would show you what happens when a man gets obsessed with the color "red."
