There was more fantastic writing last week, and I think we all learned something by rewriting our stories from a different point of view. It was fun.

It's time to talk about the new prompt for this week. No matter your style, you can join in this week and every week. The prompt is to inspire you to write, which is the whole point of the exercise. You will have until 11:59 pm EST on Saturday to write to the prompt and link up your work. A new prompt and a new linkup will go up the following Monday.

The prompt for this week is:

Write a scene in which a character does something while alone in a setting that is extremely significant to that character. Have the character doing something (dishes, laundry, filing taxes, playing a computer game, building a bird house) and make sure that YOU are aware that the character has a problem or issue to work out, but do NOT tell your reader what that is. 

Word count this week is 500. It's just a scene, so you don't need to share a lot of backstory. Just started at the beginning of the scene and end it when the scene is over. I know some of you have a hard time with short word counts, but I really want you to try your best to stay as close to 500 as possible.

Don't forget to display the BMWW badge in the post somewhere and link up with the url to the POST not your BLOG. Leave a comment after you post letting us know it's there. Try to read the others who link up, as many as you can, and leave a comment or critique. (if you aren't sure how to critique, take baby steps. You can start with the sandwich method-good, "bad", good--or take a moment to share a part of the story that you really liked and why, perhaps why a certain set of words meant more to you, or even if there is a sentence that just feels odd. Present a new option for wording it.)
