You know, I haven’t been real thrilled about turning 50, my “assigned number” for about the last 6 months.  I admit, I had some problems initially adjusting to the ‘new era’ and all that.  I nearly choked the first time I had to state my age at the doctor’s office… “F..f...f..if…uh..uh….fifty”.  They probably thought I’d had a stroke.

I don’t watch all that much TV, but when I do watch, it’s almost always the Food Network.  It beats watching the local news, which, where I live, would cause a case of agoraphobia if you’d let it.  Besides, I think it makes me sophisticated to watch the Food Network.  Everybody on there is so intellectual and enlightened. They use terminology the rest of us have no clue about, and they’re all so “green”.   I have to laugh when the chefs are cooking a dish that we, too, can make at home…

I love Jon Bon Jovi.  There, I said it.  I just do. I always have.  My friends, and even my grown sons, know about my crush.  My husband is aware (although not to the full extent, it would only crush the man).
