Three Hearts

There's nothing more devastating than to have your child be faced with heart defects. But more scary is the fact that there's no hope. Unless it's from the Children's Heart Project: an organization that helps children who can't afford heart surgery in countries like Mongolia, Bolivia or Bosnia to name a few. Read my review about the film Three Hearts and how it captures the humanity behind this cause at http://www.spanish4kiddos.com/p/reviews-2012.html

and if you get a chance watch this amazing video about scenes from the film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMUA8lbbkDU&feature=relmfu

So, to reminisce about the plenty of good things we have, we decided to make a cornucopia. A plentiful horn of abundance to remind us that Thanksgiving is more than a feast but a celebration of harvest time. A celebration to reap the goodness of the year and to look forward to plenty more in the future. To learn more how we made this beautiful cornucopia, you can visit …

More than Judge-a-Book-by-its-Cover

Yes, sometimes, you must 'judge a book by its covers', that is, when they have a medal of honor. This award of prestige is what sets most books apart whether for children or adults. It's not only prestige and recognition but it's a way to explain our world to our children with stories and illustrations that will expand their imagination.
