This is a political post. Yes, I know I said they would be rare, but I'm fired up. I have stated a number of times that I am a walking oxymoron. Yesterday my little girl got her ears pierced. We did it with her cousins; it was exciting and thrilling for her and she hardly cried at all. Proud Mama moment. In spite of this, I’m left feeling sad. Like a part of my baby’s innocence is now gone, never to return. It’s like she’s growing up and I made a conscious effort today to assist in that. Lately I have been struggling with my food choices. I love unhealthy food- aka. crappy food! I love cheddar cheese, white sour dough bread, shrimp, Chipotle burritos, pasta, butter, desserts, and so forth. While some people may not view this type of food as crap, I know it is. When I eat it, my body becomes weak and unhealthy. I am searching for a balance.
