I have been really torn about doing any sort of writing, especially about the good things going on in light of Friday's horrible tragedy.  However, we cannot dwell on the sadness forever and no kid would ever want to see parents, family, friends, even strangers constantly sad and paranoid.  We must move on.  We must grow and learn and change our society.

This is going to be a post that is about a subject that is really difficult for me to talk about, but I need to.  I've made plenty of mistakes in my life, but I've never messed up as bad as I have these last couple of years.

Addiction.  Addiction was a word that I heard frequently but I never thought it applied to me.  I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, I don't have an addiction, I don't have an addictive personality.  Sure I enjoy things on occasion, but…

So today I posted a blog about my friends from my teenage years and it kept me thinking for most of the day.  All in all I've met some pretty cool people, but do I really classify them as friends?  Here's the question that I can't seem to answer.
