My Picky Kid Ate This #2

I was just as surprised that my kid ate this as you might be!

--falafel patties (Near East or Manischewitz mix), cooked in olive oil rather than vegetable oil.

--half of a whole wheat pita

--cucumber slices

--Stonyfield Farm organic raspberry yogurt

Serve each element separately on the plate, as opposed to all lumped together inside the pita. We all know that a picky kid won't eat what they can't pick apart, inspect, and identify!

Missing Breastfeeding?

I weaned the baby to formula two months ago, at about 7 months of age. I have a love-hate relationship with breastfeeding because on one hand, I know its benefits and enjoy the closeness with my baby, but on the other, I have had the unfortunate experience with both girls of extreme nipple pain that lasts longer than the usual "1-2 weeks postpartum." Those of you who read my blog may have picked up on the fact that I almost get obsessive when it comes to parenting "the right way."
