- Well I blog about what is on my mind, and generally that is living more green and frugally, baking and cooking from scratch, organizing my home and keeping it a haven for my family and lastly, about how I prefer to live - in a back to basics fashion - like cooking from scratch, avoiding processed foods, I dont vaccinate, I read about health and nutrition, I garden, and try to live as simply as possible.

Strawberry Jam

I attempted to make strawberry jam. Fresh strawberries were a good price, they tasted nice so-- I bought some instant pectin and made it. Made 5 jars according to directions. It tastes great.
BUT-
The recipe on the pectin didn't require the jars to be vacuum sealed. Just pour into a jar and cover. Well...that doesn't seem very proper to me. Is that ok?
