It was Thanksgiving Day, 1993. My youngest son was at the “Ice Bowl”, the fond term for the year the Dallas Cowboys played in record snow and ice. I stood next to my dad’s bed, with what was left of his frail body. He was too weak to have a voice, and in within a few hours of the day he left this world. I stepped in to the store, taking stock of the room as I walked through the glass doors. I wasn’t sure where to start.
