Saturday it got darn right chilly! So chilly that our little Anna woke up ecstatic declaring Frozen was on the way! Haha! She put on her mittens, scarf, hat, and pants and ran outside to play in Frozen and wait for snow. When the snow didn’t arrive she came inside along with her older sibs and they helped make apple crisp and get out our fall decorations.
I lay in bed strategizing ways to tactfully make my way down the stairs, grab my book from the living room, and make a mad dash into the family room without waking up a soul. Some people would say that the cost of silence is free. Those people are not mothers. There is always a cost. As most of you know I am a huge advocate for living a sustainable and green life. I have had numerous arguments with my husband over my ban on paper products in our home (I draw the line at toilet paper…we can wash napkins, we have real plates, cups, and utensils that can be reused. We washed cloth diapers & wipes. (FYI, with the cloth wipes our youngest only had a diaper rash once, in 2-1/2 years! I firmly believe that most rashes come from the disposable wipes).
