What do you blog about? {In your own words}: I blog about pretty much anything that is going on in my life with humor and hopefully insight. I'll add in my family of husband (of 21 years) and 2 children (20 and 17) along with my 3 dogs. I blog about travel, cooking, gardening and might throw in a restaurant or book review too.

How did you find out about Bloggy Moms? {If you were refered by someone please give their name and twitter or blog url} {Media Source}: I saw that Tiffany Noth became a follower of mine on twitter so I decided to check out the site.

I have been blogging since:: Had a travel blog for over a year, current blog for about 4 months.

I blog because:: I'm a freelance writer and I like to write. My paying job is doing copywriting for textbooks which can be a little dry. Blogging keeps me creative.

My Blog and Recipe Featured on Food Network's blog-FN Dish

I recently responded to a tweet sent out by the Food Network to particpate in Summer Fest, a collection of recipes posted bi weekly on seasonal produce. The latest was peaches. The blog goes live today July 6th at noon.

So stop by and get some great recipes for those peaches you just couldn't pass up at the farm stand but aren't sure what to do with.

I've been reading a lot lately about how to promote your blog. My blog is a little different since I write through a local website that promotes me and the blog but it never hurts to do a little promotion on your own--right?

You can get them pretty cheap through http://vistaprint.com We attend a lot of networking events, they are so worth it. And if we are just meeting people on the street who might be interested in travel we give it to them.
It's also good for when you go to restaurants or cafes, if you intend to write about it, leave them your card so they know where to look for your reveiew.
