I pulled the chair into the stream of sun pouring in through our dirty patio window and took a seat, tucking my knees into my chest.

I let the heat warm my face and the light kiss my soul.

I looked down at my pajama bottoms that had been comfortably molded to my legs after a few days of wearing them.

My shirt was wrinkled from laying in bed all morning.
