Romancing Your Husband During A Financial Hardship

An unemployment or financial hardship can easily extinguish the flame of passion in your marriage.  That's why it's so important to do your best throughout the year to show your mate how much you love them.   Now, I know this isn't always easy to do, especially when there's so much stress and money is tight. But to keep the spark alive, you'll need to be open-minded, creative, and willing to put forth an effort to intentionally show your love in tangible ways.   Particularly on special occasions…See More

UnEMPLOYED Faith

Hi fellow Christian moms,I hope 2012 is treating you great so far! I just wanted to share a post that I think many women can relate with in this difficult economy.  My husband has been unemployed for a very lengthy and emotional season in our life.  To bring good from our "storm" I wrote a book about how to cope with the powerfully negative  and often destructive emotions that can consume the heart and mind of the wife of an unemployed man.  If you or someone you know might have an interest in…See More

UnEMPLOYED Faith

The journey of unemployment for my family has been a long one.  The emotions have been raw and have run deep.  Everything from anger to loneliness to depression.    If not for our faith, I'm not sure our family would still be strongly united and hopeful.  God's hand has been hard at work over us.  And we know that in all…See More

What do you blog about? {In your own words}
I've had a love for writing since childhood. It started early on with pen pal letters and continued to grow from there.

Of course, never in a million years would I have dreamed I'd actually be living my passion of being a stay-at-home mom, blessed wife to the man who has my heart, and nearly full time writer, too!

When you read my testimony, you'll understand why this life I'm living is something I sit in awe of. God is so good!

It thrills me to play with words and put sentences together. I have a creative streak coursing through my veins aching to get out, so I release by tapping fingers to the keyboard, filling a blank white space with whatever God has placed on my heart in the moment.

Sometimes I look back at things I've written and think, "Wow! That came from me?!" and other days I shake my head a little embarrassed it was nothing prolific or life-changing.

The truth is, I'm not anything special, nor would I ever claim to be. I'm just the girl next door who loves to express herself through writing, and hopefully God is and will be glorified in the process.

I long to encourage women in all aspects of their walk through life.

One of the most difficult issues many women face in today's economy is coping with the pressures of life when their husband falls victim to the nation's staggering unemployment crisis.  The emotional impact itself is a very lonely burden to carry.

We want to be strong for our husband and continue to be the glue that holds our family together, but it's hard when all we really want to do is bury our head under our pillow as if it's all just a bad dream.  The only problem is the…

Breaking Free

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.  Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."  ~Galatians 5:1

A year ago, if someone would have told me I was a broken person with all sorts of garbage floating around inside my soul, I would have thought they were crazy and probably would have been offended.   Sure, I had a lifetime of emotions and personal baggage that I carried around with me, sometimes even on…

Hi Rosann!  Welcome to Bloggy Moms!

I checked out your blog and left a comment there. I hope you got it! Thanks for the inspiration. Oh by the way, you may want to check out my blog, too - Memoir of a Natural Mama.  I'm pretty much a newbie here like you, but it's about my journey too with a twist about my pursuit for natural health. I hope you can follow my blog, and let's be friends here! I can't seem to find how I can follow yours via Google Friend Connect, though.

Sending out my love and blessing to you!
