Religion and Faith
What do you blog about? {In your own words}
I blog about my journey as a mother, wife, and child of God. The reason for this blog is to give me an opportunity to use my passion for writing in a way that is glorifying to God. It's my prayer that my writing would be inspirational, helpful, and encouraging to other women who find themselves wanting to grow closer to God, be better moms, and more loving to their husbands. We will never be THE ideal woman as described in Proverbs 31, but there is nothing wrong with trying.

More recently I started http://www.unemployedfaith.com because I wrote a book about the journey my husband and I have faced with being in our 3rd year of his unemployment. The emotions are raw and run deep. My book shares coping tips to encourage other women going through the same thing that they aren't alone, their emotions are normal, and there is a healthy way to deal with them, while keeping your marriage strong and intact.

Romancing Your Husband During A Financial Hardship

Posted on January 25, 2012 at 12:54pm 0 Comments

An unemployment or financial hardship can easily extinguish the flame of passion in your marriage.  That's why it's so important to do your best throughout the year to show your mate how much you love them.   Now, I know this isn't always easy to do, especially when there's so much stress and money is tight.

But to keep the spark alive, you'll need to be open-minded, creative, and willing to put forth an effort to intentionally show your love in tangible ways.   Particularly…

UnEMPLOYED Faith

The journey of unemployment for my family has been a long one.  The emotions have been raw and have run deep.  Everything from anger to loneliness to depression.    If not for our faith, I'm not sure our family would still be strongly united and hopeful.  God's hand has been hard at work over…

One of the most difficult issues many women face in today's economy is coping with the pressures of life when their husband falls victim to the nation's staggering unemployment crisis.  The emotional impact itself is a very lonely burden to carry.

We want to be strong for our husband and continue to be the glue that holds our family together, but it's hard when all we really want to do is bury our head under our pillow as if it's all just a bad dream.  The only problem is the…

Breaking Free

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.  Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."  ~Galatians 5:1

A year ago, if someone would have told me I was a broken person with all sorts of garbage floating around inside my soul, I would have thought they were crazy and probably would have been offended.   Sure, I had a lifetime of emotions and personal baggage that I carried around with me, sometimes even on…

Hi Rosann!  Welcome to Bloggy Moms!

I checked out your blog and left a comment there. I hope you got it! Thanks for the inspiration. Oh by the way, you may want to check out my blog, too - Memoir of a Natural Mama.  I'm pretty much a newbie here like you, but it's about my journey too with a twist about my pursuit for natural health. I hope you can follow my blog, and let's be friends here! I can't seem to find how I can follow yours via Google Friend Connect, though.

Sending out my love and blessing to you!

Tess
