What do you blog about? {In your own words}: Transforming from a Working Accountant with no children who was a Shop-a-Holic living on two incomes to a Frugal focused Stay at Home Mom of two adopted sons living on one income all while trying to lose over 150 lbs and coping with being the 40+ Mom with a 6 month old and a 2 year old. Trying to live frugally by utilizing strategic shopping, coupon clipping, doing rebates, and enjoying giveaways.

Couponing with Grace and Kindness

Over the last year, I have heard a lot of negative comments from cashiers whenever I pulled out my coupon binder. I have to admit that I no longer use a binder as I got tired of the paper folding requirements and just went to a shoe box... but that is a time constraint issue with 2 small boys... I digress...

I am working out how to do a giveaway celebration for my losing over 100 lbs. I am currently down 91+ lbs and only need 2 lbs to break the 200 lb mark and only 8 lbs to break the 100 lb loss mark. That makes me only 51 lbs away from my goal weight (which will be an almost 1/2 of my body weight loss). I am hoping to break the 100 lb loss mark within the next 3 weeks so stay tuned in as soon as I work out all of the details and as soon as I lose these dreaded lbs... I will begin posting…

Motherhood

Motherhood was something that I dreamed of, prayed about, cried about, and finally submitted to God’s will upon for over seventeen years of marriage. This doesn’t count all of the years growing up dreaming as young girls do. During that time, I never realized that Motherhood is really a cycle of highs and lows all covered by a blanket of love.
