We love our Friday nights in! Time to break out of the mundane routine, no swimming or tae kwon do to race to, no uniforms to iron, no missing sock to find, no homework to complete and no lunches to pack. An evening to do exactly as we please.

Last Friday morning I caught a bus with an angry, frustrated and quite miserable looking thirty-something mother of two boys who might just be about the same age as the Fab 2. I met Sofia in high school, amidst all that uncomfortable, teen spirit stuff. I remember her as fiery, honest, confident and a nurturer. In our group of 4-5, Sofia was perhaps the most up-front and boisterous personality. She of course had the added benefit of having been raised amongst brothers and thus knew all about being rough and tumble. She was(is) smart and very sporty. We all have them , moments that make us want to cringe and squirm, when we can’t help but wish the ground would open up and swallow us . Moments we always look back and remember as “That Awkward Moment” .
Well here’s a few that come to mind to add to the awkward moments hall of shame :
1.When you are in the office kitchen toasting something and the new recruit is a metre away using the microwave , you’ve never been introduced and therefore have nothing to say to them.…
