I spent a good portion of my pre-child life traveling, which of course means packing as well. So when preparing for trips, making sure I have clean undies and my special cucumber mango body wash is like second nature.
What I didn’t anticipate, but soon quickly learned after my son was born, packing with/for a child is a whole ‘nother story. Clothes for two climates and everything in-between, bibs, diaper cloths, changing pads, blankies and most of the standard everyday-use… Continue

I remember being pregnant and thinking "I can't wait to have my old
clothes back, my other 'babies' have been hanging in the closet
helplessly for the past 10 months. I miss my clothes!" I innocently
thought the day the baby popped out I'd have my old wardrobe back.
Wrong. Not because they didn't fit, not because they were out of style,
but because 99% of them don't have easy access to the milk factory. Who
would have thought? Why didn't any of the pregnancy prep… Continue

Of the worst kind. What in the world is a mother of three children, a student with FOUR, yes... you read that correctly, but I shall type it again...four exams next week, doing awake? And may I carry on... who woke up just after 8 after an insomniatic (yes, it is now a word) night last night, to try to catch up with, well... life. Which is something I can never "catch up" on. It is absolutely impossible. I suppose that is the point of life, to keep a constant movement in… Continue

So I said to myself, “Self…you have been sorely neglecting your duties as Mayor of late…”. Myself responded with a rude gesture & a string of expletives that made even me blush. Then I was clocked over the head with a calendar. A sad reminder that September is looming, & with it, the two things I struggle with the most…the loss of my babies back to the school system, & the impending arrival of… Continue

Sometimes my life can bit a bit random, haphazard, crazy and unplanned. With no fault of my own I'm sure.
Except for the part about it being no fault of mine. Because it probably is.
Just the other day I was in a flurry of starting a load of laundry, folding another load, laying Brayden down for a nap, "summerizing" our fireplace… Continue

My first memory is when I was 3.
Michael Jackson's Thriller had just come out and everyone was head over
heels in love with it. We lived in a two story house at the time and my
one brother was watching the video on tv, my other brother was
listening to it on the radio, and my mom was upstairs listening to a
tape of it.
Let me reiterate, I was 3. Thriller was scary. I was trying to run
away from Thriller but Thriller was EVERYWHERE.

As a working mom, I am grateful for PTO (personal time off) which means a day off from work but with pay. Ya! So when my little boo came down with a fever of 101 degrees last night, it was a no-brainer to call it a “PTO day” today.
It always feels a bit strange being home during the week. I am used to the daily grind of working out early in the morning, getting the kiddies off to school/daycare and commuting to work. That’s all before 8:00 am!
Sure it can be stressful when… Continue

...oh where oh where could it be?
I had a beautiful, healthy 8lb baby girl. Yay! Now, will my body ever get back to the way it used to be? If you're like me, you wanted your body back the day after you had your baby. Yes, it took nine months to create your little bundle of joy but to know it might take just as long or longer to get your body back is agony for any mom.
When I was just about 8 months pregnant, I remember a fellow mom explained to me how difficult it was to… Continue

Or Queen. Although even in my fantasies, I only ever make it into the kingdom as far as a court jester. Sometimes, if I'm lucky, I make it in as a royal loaf of bread.
However, as I mentioned in my last post, I did
