Can someone please tell me why, oh why people like to cause drama.
Here is the scenario (short version by the way)
My parents have been divorced for almost 20 years. My dad has been dating the same woman (I assume they are engaged or may be married, but won't tell us) we'll call her "D" for 18 of those last 20 years.
D is not a fan of mine, she never really was and never really will be. I have made some huge mistakes in my life and some I have made many of times, over… Continue

Do you ever fee like 24 hours is just not enough? stupid question I know, but today was just one of those days. I feel like no matter how early I wake up in the mornings, it just doesn't matter because I always feel like I'm rushing!
I wake up between 6:00a-6:30ish everyday, I take a shower and I start my coffee ( I can't do anything else until I have my coffee) I start making breakfast ( my hubby has to be at work by 7:30a), so I make breakfast so that he can have it… Continue

Why do I always find myself dreaming about taking a vacation? Oh yeah...maybe it's because I haven't been on one in forever! In no particular order, here are my favorite vacation spots! Where are your favorite places to go on vacations?…

In my house, when the kids eat all their dinner, including their veggies, they get a dessert as a reward. Some nights it’s ice cream, some nights it’s jello, and other nights, I am left without new and fun options. It’s often easy to get into a food rut where you are serving the same meals over and over. While it’s still tasty, it can also be boring, and if there is no excitement at the dinner table, it’s… Continue

You look at the clock on your bedside table... its 11:05. You toss and turn. Your pillow is too hot so you flip it over. Your blankets are irritating you tonight and there's a small lump in the mattress that has never bothered you until now....

I was in Walmart about a year ago with all four of my children. We had finished our shopping and were now waiting at checkout. My youngest was having a really hard time and was stimming, this is a repetitive behavior that he does to calm himself down.… Continue

I think of all the things I need to forgive myself for, and there are many, so I will start my list and see where it goes. To start I think I need to forgive myself for allowing my past to dictate my future. While this may seem confusing, it is something that I have accomplished now. Back a few years, I was falling into the same situation over and over and over again. I mean I think my son is repetitive, maybe he got it from me. LOL.. No, really, I didn't know what love was and so I kept… Continue

The saddest part of this season is that it just doesn't seem like there is enough time to celebrate it! However, amidst all of the shopping, gift wrapping, parties, and holiday preparation, be sure you
set aside some time for some real holiday magic.
Dave and I ran into some unplanned holiday magic the other night, when we went out to eat at the Riverwoods. On our way to the restaurant, we Continue

Every year for as long as I can remember in our relationship- my husband's grandmother always sent us haystacks as our little taste of home each year for Christmas. She would take the Chinese noodles & mix them in melted chocolate and let them harden into a yummy little treat.… Continue

I'm so happy, proud, ecstatic, and amazed today. After 6 years,
countless attempts (and failures), guilt trips, crying fits, etc, BG1
slept through the night in her own bed in her own room! Now that is a milestone!
I know what you're thinking, she's 6! She should have been sleeping on
her own, but in my family we've always been quite lenient on that part
of the parenting field. Why even my little brother slept with my mom
until he was 8… Continue

I've always thought those two memes kind of go hand in hand right? Post
it notes can be totally random. Today I have to sew the fleece liners
for the diapers I will be mailing out tomorrow to my diaper tester
winners. Will this bring more people to my shop to buy things...I doubt
it, but I'm still doing it. I at least think I can make some pretty rad
diapers for family and friends though huh?
