1. Audrey has fallen off the couch twice. I just hate locking her into any seat/toy she is in when she wants to explore.
2. I put her in front of the television to entertain her. At least most of… Continue

I've been teaching my children about recycling and about keeping the world God gave us clean and beautiful. By reading these Little Green books to
my children, I learned a lot, too. Did you know…

If you could spend a few minutes with your mother what would you do, what would you ask, what would you say? Some of us have lost our moms already, some of us still have our moms by our side helping us in lots of ways and some of us may have broken relationships with our moms. If you could wipe away all of that and spend time with her what would you do? I am sorting out with my six daughters the garbage I tend to focus on and putting it curbside so that I can focus on the joy and pleasure… Continue

Since Jonesie spent Thanksgiving with his dad, I called yesterday to find out what time I could pick him up. Jonesie answered and asked if T-Bone (his dad's gf's son who is 6 months older than Jonesie) could come over for the day. My response was "absolutely."
Some people think it's really weird that I would let my ex-husband's girlfriend's son come over, but I have an awesome relationship with Jonsie's dad AND his girlfriend. We do birthday parties together, we put them on the… Continue

I can hardly believe that it was at this time just last year that my dad was undergoing treatment for throat cancer. And because his immune system was so weak at that time, we were not all able to be together for Thanksgiving, which was a total bummer for everyone. Now that he's fully recovered and cancer-free this year, we were very much looking forward to a… Continue

I am very new to yoga, which I have been interested in for a while. My curiosity was heightened by a "Speaking of Faith" interview with Seane Korn that I listened to this summer. I was also drawn by programs like ALPHA Running. ALPHA Running's approach is centered on a strategy called "RYT," which stands for "Running," "Yoga," and… Continue

Last night I watched Eat, Pray, Love, and as much as I hate to admit it, it could TOTALLY relate. At one point, Julia Roberts said she "felt dead inside." I am not above admitting that I feel the same way too sometimes. It's ironic that I can feel dead next to such a beautiful, ALIVE little baby, full of curiosity and exploration, but....I… Continue

Disclaimer: This is gross. Very gross. Possibly the grossest thing I have shared on here. So you know it is in the uber gross category. But I have to share because Mother's will understand. But I recommend you hide your children's eyes and possibly your husband's. Only the strong can handle it.

I love bows. I have 3 little girls and I love that I can dress them up, even if it is just jeans and a little shirt and then make them look amazing with a perfectly matching, pretty bow in their hair. I would love to make bows for them but I have no talent in that arena at all. So, I turn to the bow making companies to make something that is not too heavy for my daughter's hair but still matches the clothes I want to dress them in!
