5 Steps For Creating No-Sew Curtains for Under $10!
I recently re-decorated my daughter’s bedroom on a TIGHT budget, and one of the biggest challenges I faced was finding curtain panels that were the right color/pattern AND budget-friendly. After scouring all of our local stores and spending hours searching online, I realized that I needed to adjust my plan. Unfortunately, I…

D-I-Y Terrarium
Hi, my name is Kim, and I'm a plant killer. I have the best of intentions, but somehow, I always manage to do something that results in a slow, agonizing death for my plants. So when I heard that terrarium plants are pretty hardy and require a minimum of care, I figured we might be a match made in plant heaven.

5 Easy and Creative Gift Wrapping Ideas
It’s the thought behind the gift that counts, but when that gift arrives in a beautifully hand wrapped package it’s a bit more special. Receiving a fabulously wrapped gift doesn’t just build up anticipation for the gift inside, it adds to the gift as a whole. You can do something simple, like wrapping your gift in kraft paper and decorating it with washi tape, or get your hands dirty and make some yarn pom-poms. However you decide to decorate your gift, you can always find something lying…

Hanging Kitchen Hand Towel: DIY Tutorial
Maybe it's just me, but I am slightly disgusted at the prospect of drying my hands on a kitchen tea towel that's also used to dry dishes. I like having a specific towel for drying hands (terry towel) and a specific towel for drying dishes (tea towel).
A few years ago, my parents…

D-I-Y Weathered Wood
In part 1 of the "fridge organization" series, Gus made really cool frames. Since the frames that inspired us (at Hobby Lobby) were weathered wood, I wanted to try to duplicate that and share it with you!…

All Gus'ed Up: Easy-to-Make Wood Frames
The other day, I saw some weathered wood frames at Hobby Lobby and immediately fell in love with them. (Of course, I forgot to take a picture!) They were perfect for my kitchen projects - except for one thing - the price. They were $20 each, and that was more than I wanted to spend since I needed two - plus, they didn't have one size I wanted. But I really liked the way the frames were made. As Gus and I looked at them, I realized that they seemed pretty easy to duplicate. He said as long as…

Circle of Love Bracelet
I just love making bracelets - I can't get enough! I have so many bracelets now that I had to rearrange my jewelry armoire to make room for them all. Gus asked me "don't you think you have too many?" - silly man...,
This one is so easy to make - even if you have no experience. It can cost less than $3 (if you buy your supplies when they're 50% off), and take less than 10 minutes to make. I really love mine - it's another favorite, and I wear it almost every day.…

Toddler Community Map
Throughout these past few years, we have collected all kinds of toys: people, cars, trains, firetrucks, farm animals, buildings, signs, etc. (You get the point right? I sure hope I’m not the only Mom accumulating all of these toys!) I’m not quite sure where or how we have so much, but it’s true, it’s all here. There are so many “little pieces” that are jammed packed in our toy boxes that I thought it was necessary to pull them all out and play in a, uhm…’organized’ way.
While I was…

D-I-Y Braided Wrap Bracelet
I just can't get enough bracelet-making!! This a simple braided wrap bracelet made with blue hemp cord that is so cute for spring/summer - and I decided to incorporate one of the "Love" circles that I used in my Circle of Love Bracelet.
