A Mom Blog Social Network
Well, I may have COMPLETELY lost my mind because lately I've been dreaming about babies and puppies. And I might need an intervention. Click over to my blog to see why: "…Continue

A huge sigh of relief washes over me...and as soon as I feel the pressure release in my shoulders, something rushes over me. I'm thrust from the couch, as though I was just launched from a human rocket, and sprint to the bathroom. I barely make it to the toilet before I see my lunch floating on top and sinking to the bottom...and not realizing that this uneasiness is foreshadowing for the weeks to come.
I text Jason the next day, and I don't receive a reply. I feel like I'm in déjà…Continue

This video adequately sums up why I believe it is crucial for the Church to become actively involved in orphan care.
Is your local body of believers actively involved in the fight for orphans? Why or why not?…Continue

Our eldest son, Hayden, informed me that I neglected to introduce you to two members of our family the other day. So, I’d like you to meet our beloved dogs, Max and Coco. Both were adopted into our family. Coco, from a rescue shelter only months after Greg and I were married. Max, from some friends of ours at church who could no longer keep him. Each have enriched our lives in many ways and we have been tremendously blessed…Continue

It’s her! It’s her! It’s her!
As most of you know, I’m rarely speechless. Almost never without a smart remark to widely share.

For the past three nights, Oliver has woken early and we’ve (gasp) brought him into our bed. I’m not actually gasping, and no one should be really, because all those “never do that”s go straight out the window when you’re dealing with two. or one. or you’re tired. (Not to mention our previous avoidance of any co-sleeping habits were trumped by the standard-issue bonding and…Continue

Friends, you have been on my mind lately, and on my heart. As I have sat before the Lord over the last few days, your faces and circumstances have played before my mind's eye. And I began to notice a common thread woven delicately between each story...
So many of you are living in the in-between.
For some of you, you are living out your days in a season of singleness. Anxiously awaiting for the Lord to fulfill…

Growing up, Greg and I had always had a longing to adopt- we just never discussed the matter much once we were married- until recently. Little did we know, but God was stirring up a deep passion within both of us, to bring more children into our home by means of…Continue

Sometimes, it's really really hard to be the parent, especially when your kids do something so crazy, stupid that you want to giggle but know you shouldn't. Take, for instance, the time when my son decided to reenact the lewd scene from "Brave" right in the middle of a baby shower we were…Continue

Dear Christian Broadcasting Network,
It is with a heavy and grievous heart that I am writing these words to you. I am both saddened and appalled with the statements made by Pat Robertson regarding international adoption on the 700 Club that aired Thursday August 16, 2012. In response to a letter your network received from a mother seeking advice on how to react to men not wanting to date her when they discover that she has 3 internationally adopted…

This Roundtable topic is: How do you feel after a visit?
I'm such a mixed mess of emotions after every visit. Usually it's a blend of happiness, sadness, anxiety, and gratitude.
I'm always happy to see my children's birth…

Wow am I behind on these... Well, not time to catch up like the present! In this Open Adoption Roundtable, we've been asked to respond to the following: Write about open adoption agreements. Is there one in your open adoption? What effect does it have on your relationships? If you could go back in time, would you approach the agreement differently?…
