Blog Every Day in May Challenge- Day 14
I missed a few. I was out of town and though I had intended to write them ahead of time, I wasn't thrilled with the prompts, so procrastinated until I was out of…

Article by Wendy McCance
When I started blogging last year, I never dreamed that I would switch over to writing full-time. I also never thought that I would like blogging so much that I would create all of the things I have put together on this site. Life is full of surprises and when you sit back and allow the story to unfold, amazing things seem to happen.
Switching over to a dot com has been the best decision I have made. The freedom it allows you is…

This post was originally posted on my blog here.
Today, I have something on my mind… That inner voice. I don’t mean the one that tells you it’s a bad idea to have ANOTHER drink at the bar (when you’ve already had four bay breezes-you know what I mean. Pineapple juice, vodka, cranberry juice. YUM. You just can’t stop after one. Though, I haven't had a one since giving birth.) or the one that tells you…

After much consideration and lots of prayers, I've made the ultimate decision of not sharing my testimony on the blog due to privacy issues.
Matt and his family continue to read this blog. Which is why I haven't blogged like I use to. I shouldn't have to spend my time defending myself or my blog. I'm tired of the phone calls and messages about my life or what I decide to put out on the blog. If it doesn't involve Kinsley then there should be no reason to be nosey.…

My son had his first birthday last weekend; we had a fabulous party on a sunny day down by the Brisbane River with family and friends, a very cool birthday cake (see photo!)

that took me the best part of the day before to make and it never did quite look the same is picture in the magazine! At the end of my son's birthday we had a very tuckered…

Blissdom. Blogher. Bloggy Bootcamp. What do they all have in common?
They are all blogging conferences, of course! In other words, wonderful opportunities to meet other bloggers, interact with PR representatives from various of brands, and learn tons of useful blogging tidbits.
When I first started blogging a little over two years ago, I never even thought about going to a blog conference. But now, when I read a post about one of my blogging buddies going to a conference, I…

Welcome to the first weekend wrap-up! I’m not sure yet if I will be doing this every weekend, or not, but it fits well for today.
This particular blog is just a little over 2 weeks old, and I want to thank those who are reading and along for this adventure! I’ve learned so much in the past 2-3 weeks as I’ve been working to get this set up, and I’m finding that there’s always just a…

For a couple years, I have blogged on and off about small, family matters. I never really tried to do much with my writing for many reasons, but mostly because our children required a lot of my time. Recently, I shared a dream with my husband, related to my writing, and he encouraged me to be brave, follow that dream, and jump in with both feet. While I may have gotten there eventually, it was really his encouragement that gave me the boost I needed to go ahead and get this blog started,…

A conversation Dr. T and I had recently sparked some serious thought. He worries that by blogging so much about my life, I run the risk of over-share territory and worries that L.E. will one day be bullied because of it.
Am I sharing too much of myself and my family with this blog? Will L.E. one day be the subject of ridicule once her friends find out that I willfully let the dog lick her…

I get asked the question, "Why did you choose to write a blog about your illnesses?" a lot. Putting my personal business out in the open isn't the most attractive thing to do, but I do it to make me…

In this article I am going to give you some great articles on blogging and business that I have found interesting during the past week. Be sure to check both sets of articles, there is often relevant overlap!
For Bloggers
1. Many bloggers write purely for the sheer joy of getting words and ideas from their brains onto blog sites. There are other bloggers who write for money, to earn a living. For these bloggers, this article from the people at…

How I spent My Year in The Blog World

My blog was born on March 22, 2012. My blog is 1-year-old!
When I started my blog, I had never even read a blog before. Isn’t that horrible? I had no idea on how to be a successful blogger or even where to begin. I think my first blog set up attempt was an actual website. So I knew I was in for a challenge. I…

I am attending the Online Blog Conference May 17th - 19th offered by the The Blog Workshop. As a new blogger, I can't afford all the cost associated with traveling or have the luxury of leaving my family for three to four days (I wish!). Yet I really need the information this Blog Conference provides. Who doesn't want to attend a conference where you have no other expenses, can have your kids around, and can…

Hi All,
I just had my first guest blogging opportunity. I'd be thrilled if you'd come give it a read and give Kate at Nested some love: "And that's when I knew . . . " http://ning.it/13PYtQx.
This is one of those self-esteem-boosting posts that is all about recognizing and loving the geek in me.

Things are a lot different this time around than they were when I was carrying the Munchkin. I don't have half as much time to lounge around and do nothing. I haven't decided if this is a blessing or a curse. Most likely it is both.
I'm starting to make lists for the Belly Munchkin's arrival. Whether I'll actually ever manage to check anything off those lists is yet to be seen.
I have however, been able to squeeze some time in for weekly yoga. Not as much as I managed before I…
