Learn How to Keep Your Toddler’s Artwork off of the Walls and Furniture
A few weeks ago, my husband asked me if I needed anything from the store. I asked him if he would pick up my youngest son a coloring book because he kept grabbing my pen from me when I wasn’t watching and kept telling me that he wanted to draw. I took the pen away from him and he was devastated, even though…

Don't like this hair color....
I decided to change the color of my hair, it is now auburn/red, I guess! But I don't think I like it.
I have always colored my hair, but mainly it has been honey blonde for the most of my adult life. When I was younger, I experimented with "hot red, orange, purple and blue hair". Honey blonde finally became my adult color.
I know that I can cover my color, I'm no stranger to weaves, extensions and wigs, but it's too hot for all that. And of course, I can't change my color…

5 Creative Arts and Crafts Ideas for Toddlers

I’m the mom of two children who are nearly seven years apart. My baby girl just turned 2 and my son will be 9 in November. The both love anything related to arts and crafts: drawing, writing, gluing, cutting. But sometimes it can be a challenge trying to find things to keep them both entertained at the same time, especially when they’re in a “creative” mood. My eldest can easily find something to do and is old enough to find materials around the house for his next…

Side Hustle: Paid Viewpoint - Money for Surveys
Paid Viewpoint is a great option for those wanting to earn money from surveys, but hate the task.
In my seemingly never ending search to find legitimate ways to earn extra money, I've come across many different methods. Many turned up to be flops or scams or were too hard just to be "side hustles" for the pennies you earned. But occasionally I come across something that is legit, simple and you earn actual money.
Survey taking has earned a collective hatred from many…

The "IT" Item - Coloured Denim
If you have been to any mall or department store the one constant you will see is coloured denim. Now I LOVE this trend. Back in the early 90's coloured denim was all the rage and my sister Ana and I bought a red pair and burgendy (I think) and would share those jeans. Summer 2011 ushered in the red jean that has become a neutral in the coloured denim universe. I know that lots of us will be scared to approach the rainbow of denim that we will be seeing but I will give you some tips on what…

Misadventures in Motherhood: Till Death Do Us Barf
Weddings are wonderful, festive, life-changing, and occasionally disastrous events. I suppose Forrest Gump's famous line could apply to them, in that you never know what you're gonna get.
I was absolutely thrilled when my best friend asked me to be Matron of Honor in her New Year's Eve…

Yellow makes me feel like a banana . . .
Does yellow make you feel like a banana? Is red just like lava? And does purple make you feel like an onion? If so, then you, too, will succeed as an Art Mom in my child's classroom.
Being an Art Mom is simple: You prepare a little program that teaches the kids about artists or color or a style of art, and then develop a little project to go with it. It's a lot of fun - second graders are a very appreciative audience.
I decided to talk about color and moods - you know, how does…
