A Mom Blog Social Network
My eleven year old middle school daughter and I were having a conversation the other day about games and one game in particular became the topic of discussion. A party game we all know as Truth or Dare.
My daughter: Um, I've also played this game called Truth or Dare.
Me: Uh huh. Where, why and with whom?
My daughter: Just with friends, you know, sleepovers Mom.
Me: Uh huh. Oh…Continue

So I'm starting off the year with a pretty hefty worry, and it's one I've had before.
There is nothing like creating life or being solely responsible for the life of another human being.

Double Blog Dare me- For December 29th
I would first like to say that a milestone of 2012 is that I did my very first GUEST POST!!! However, it doesn't qualify as a favourite post for 2012 because it won't be posted until 2013. It's for this blog: Check it out now, and in the new year for my post! http://sunnydaysarelove.blogspot.ca/
For my blog I have 97 published…Continue

Double Blog Dare me! – For December 12th
I’m not even a new mother yet! I’m not quite sure how I could answer this one.
I guess I could say that I want new mothers to know that there is no possible way you can know everything. Research, read, ask questions, but know that when you have that baby in your arms and it grows you could easily get to a situation that was never covered in the books. Or the books just don’t have the right…Continue

I have nothing for this.
I had several people try to manipulate me through constant pestering. So now I respond rather poorly to someone who can't take either 'yes' or 'no' for an answer.
Instead, I will post one of my favorite portraits: "The Librarian" by Arcimboldo.…Continue

So I'm just going to copy and paste some posts from my official blog to here. I hope no one minds.
There's been a lot of times I'm sure I've disappointed my parents. Losing my virginity, getting a terrible grade in school, etc.
When I turned 19, I met my husband. He moved in with me about 6 months later, and not even 2 months later, I was pregnant.
I was terrified. My mother consoled me, but the hard part would be telling my dad. I was pretty much a screw up at that point. I…

... while I am a writer, I get as much enjoyment and satisfaction from programming in Python or throwing together web pages with HTML 5 and CSS as I do from writing a new chapter in a novel. I can be a Grammar Nazi, but I also tend to make up words when I feel none of the existing words will do. I believe algebra and the algebraic method needs to be a mandatory part of education because of the logic needed to solve problems. I love learning from classes, but I also think life teaches us…Continue

Let me tell you, it's usually hard to find acts of kindness nowadays. (man, that makes me sound old!) I work with the public and have seen some insane interactions between people that make me think there is no hope for this world. And it's not just the "young people" as some people say. It's all color, creeds, ages, etc.
But we are here to talk about kindness and one example really sticks out in my head. When my brother and I were in youth group, we had a service project where…

Hello, Fellow Bloggy Moms!
I just joined here yesterday and I received the invitation to the December blogging dares today. So here is my first December post.
Holiday wishes - I picture kids running downstairs and opening up the perfect present when I think about wishes. Like last year, when my son received a set of lockpicks from Santa and then went around trying to unlock every door in his grandparents' house. Or when my daughter received a soldering gun…Continue

I was born..and half raised in sunny California, which is true about the sunny part…sometimes, but not exactly always warm. Then some in Atlanta, Ga, which was nice, real kids friendly..at the time, but I do miss it. I moved back to CA when I was 10, where I was raised until my senior year.
All the time I was in CA, I didn’t travel much at all, beside up and down the Bay Area. So when I moved to Middle America, I’ve been up and down the coast since, but I’ve never had the…

Funny enough, this morning I log onto Bloggy Moms and look at the Blog Dare prompts that I've been meaning to do for ages and today's prompt is "Things I've Done from Pinterest". I was just thinking about that this morning and looking to review them so what a…

I'm a planner. I make lists. Feel a sense of jubilation when I cross items off of it and move on to the next tasks. As a wife and mommy that works outside of the home, has 3 kids ages 7 months to 10 years old, blogging, entrepreneurial pursuits, somewhat of a social life...I'm always supposed to be doing something and lists and my calendar keep me somewhat focused.…Continue

Yesterday I noticed that one of my fave blogs Life In Pleasantville had published a new post so I quickly hopped over to have a read. She’s positive, loves to travel, and now I realize terribly evilfunny. Almost like “I dare you to jump over the alligator pit”…Continue

Three of my favorite HAWT bloggers and I decided (there may or may not have been coercion) to dance it up on our blogs.
While we all blog about different topics, we all enjoy adding a little groove-thaaang to our niche's.
This here is a house…Continue

The Blog Dare writing prompt for today was "The Worst Advice my mother/a mother gave me." I can't say that my mother has ever given me bad advice. At least one isn't coming to me at the moment.
