To say that this weekend was absolutely amazing would be an understatement. I can't even put together words to summarize how it was.
Naturally there are pictures to be shown and things to share so let's just start there.

My Simple Yet Sweet Mother’s Day Surprise
Mom’s aren’t supposed to get sick! I wish it was true but even germs and icky critters take us down for the count. Over the weekend, my husband finally convinced me to go see a doctor when I told him that I woke up around 4 AM on Saturday morning with a pounding headache. It wasn’t your typical headache, this…

Happy Mother’s Day – Please Come Share What You Love About Being A Mom?
I remember when I was pregnant with my very first baby in 1996 and on Mother’s Day that year, it dawned on me that I was going to be a mom later than year. I was excited, scared, and nervous at the same time. If you are a mom, I am sure that you can relate to all of those feelings. It is scary to think that you will be responsible for a tiny human being and that you have…

Shut up and Squat!
I decided to challenge myself and join the bandwagon for the 30 day squat challenge. I've been complaining for a year now that I need to get in shape and back to pre-baby weight but I don't do anything about it! Am still 10 lbs over my normal weight and I can't seem to shake them off. With the boys the weight came off so easy and before…

The Fast Metabolism Diet Experience
Day 1 (April 29, 2013): I started the morning excited. I made my strawberry smoothie, following the recipe to the 'T', but after the blender stopped blending and the time came for me to put my smoothie into a cup, I realized the size of my drink was a lot smaller than what I was expecting. Goodness, so the drinks sold at restaurants must be 4 servings in one.…

Silver Maple Magic
I recently spent a bit of my morning gathering small white stones to make a pathway for our resident gnome. We have an enormous silver maple in our front yard that I love. I appreciate it in even more so since, about 5 years back, we had what came to be called The October Surprise and were hit with a freak snow storm that....because the trees still had so many leaves on them....downed a great majority of the trees in this area. It was a huge storm....like no mail, no school for 5 days storm.…

Surprise Mom With A Mother’s Day Ring – Learn Why She Wants One
Do you want to give the mother in your life a mother’s ring? A mother’s ring is a great piece of jewelry that displays each of her child’s birthstone and make a great surprise gift. A birthstone can represent a child that is living or one that has passed on. Remember Cross Country USA and other old games?
For years I have been thinking about the games I used to play in elementary school. The games were grainy, and kind of slow...but that didn't matter because they were still so much fun. Then fast forward to today, I saw my brother in law watching a game on his Ipad and it wasn't until I saw a triangle appear on the screen that I realized he wasn't watching a game, he was playing a game. Technology has come so far! Our children…

April 2013 Parenting Tip: Is Your Bad Day Really That Bad?
This month’s tip is straight to the point and can really change your attitude and outlook, therefore affecting how you parent in a positive way.
When you think you are having a bad day, someone else is having a worse one!
It’s easy to get upset about the little things because when you are in the moment, they can seem large to you. If you are having a bad day, try to remove yourself from the situation (which is not easy) and think about whether or not…

What is the History Behind St. Patrick’s Day?
March 17, also known as, St. Patrick’s Day. If you didn’t put on green this morning, don’t be surprised if someone tries to pinch you or teases you that you didn’t wear any green today. I remember wearing green as a child in order to avoid being teased or pinched at school. However, there are a few other traditions that are popular on this Irish Holiday. Some of these traditions include: parades, leprechauns, clovers (shamrocks), the color green, and anything…
