Last fall we decided to take my youngest son out of daycare so that he could stay at home with me during the day. At first I was nervous because I wasn’t sure how I was going to care for him during the day. I am thankful that he has started learning how to play independently and can entertain himself for a few minutes. During those first several weeks, I was so excited and wanted to continue teaching him the things that he was currently learning in daycare. Things changed…Continue

"Mop Monster," came out when Mom wanted to clean the floors but had a 7 year old, 6 year old, 4 but almost year old, and 1 almost 2 year old around to deal with under foot.
The couch became a magnificent ocean going Sailing Vessel we might call the "Mallo." It would have to put all the sails to the West or East. Then maybe to the North or South depending on the whim of the "Mop Monster."
The Mom Monster would occasionally…

So I watched this highly anticipated movie the other day. My thoughts? Several times during the movie I considered changing my profession. For a trader and coach who prides herself in responsible and transparent investing education, this true story of Wall Street corruption was quite disturbing to watch.
I was ashamed to walk inside the New York Stock Exchange the next morning to deliver my daily market report while being surrounded by Wall Street traders and brokers.…Continue

Well I was very much moved. How about you?
As an Invest Diva follower, I’m assuming you are comfortable with Janet Yellen’s assignment to lead the U.S. central bank just as it begins to unwind at stimulus. All of the no votes came from republicans but that’s probably a sign of discomfort with the U.S. central bank’s unconventional policies as well as the partisan rancor in the Senate against any of President Barack Obama’s nominees.…Continue
