Why is it super easy to encourage and motivate someone else, when it is amazingly difficult to encourage and motivate yourself? I very often find myself encouraging other women to motivate themselves when no one else does; however, I find myself facing this dilemma, personally. There have been times that I have been in such a funk, I didn't want to get out of bed and face the day ahead of me. The only motivating force that I had, was my daughter.

This is a poem that comes from within a deeper place....
When i think of the strength it must have taken, to hold her head up high... With
thoughts of a self esteem, that couldn't see and didn't understand 'why'...
So many times she'd been disrespected and decieved.... No recognition for the
accomplishments she'd achieved...
Deep down, she always knew she'd redeem... The true essence, of her self esteem...
A Rebirth... Of her Self…Continue
I'd heard that exercising gave you energy and even helped put you in a good mood . Now, let me be the first to tell you, I was a skeptic. I could not in a million years image how something that was so dreadful and loathsome could make you feel good. Yes, that is how I honestly felt about working out and don't even get me started on what I thought about the gym!
So, is it true? Does working out give you energy & put you in a good mood? Well, duh! I mean, the scientific…

We are born into this world not knowing the path our lives will take, we are told what careers are “good careers” or what type of person we should date but there is that path we may need to take to figure it out on our own. People can look at where you are now and not know a thing about what you went through to get there. They think you have always had it together and that your journey was easy. How sadly mistaken they are.
A journey is a great way to…Continue

Guest Blogger Rebecca W. shares her experience of having Gestational Diabetes twice, as well as the healthier lifestyle changes she’s made along her journey.
I had Gestational Diabetes—twice. That’s two times in my life that I have lived as a diabetic for weeks at a time. I counted carbs. I tested my blood sugar four times a day. I injected insulin before bedtime every night up until my scheduled c-sections.
During those times I enjoyed commiserating with other GD moms on chat…Continue

We are a french inspired lingerie line with one mission to change the way women wear lingerie. Since we believe that a woman in touch with pleasure is a woman in touch with her power, we make sure the fashion she wears against her skin is the most luxurious, feel-good clothing in her wardrobe—the kind that gives her sass and confidence. Because we know a confident woman doesn’t only change her own…Continue

Why a random 14 day challenge in the middle of the month?
It hit me that I was getting slack. The passion and uumph had for DWP was waning because of outside distractions and setbacks. I’ve decided for 14 days I will do a something small, but significant to focus on being a woman of purpose and motivation. I encourage you to join in…Continue
