Organization FREEAAK at it's finest.
For the past few months I have been walking into my closet screaming for help as I get lost in my pile of shirts hoarding my shelves and floor. I am such an organization freak – and that is an understatement!!! The question, “How the heck am I suppose to organize this?!” For a while there I felt like it was impossible…but, the heavens opened up and Pinterest gave me my answer…FINALLY. I about jumped through the roof once I saw this, just ask my…

10 Commandments of Hanging
A lot of people have asked me how to get started organizing your closets and for tips that you can use on a daily basis to keep your closets and clothes fresh. That being said, I thought that I would share with you, my “10 commandments of hanging”…
Follow these simple steps and I promise, your closet will be less of the disaster that some of you have described to me.
1. Thou shall NOT hang as much as possible in thy closet
2. Thou shall NOT hang sweaters
3. Thou…

Love Technology - It is an Organizational Marvel
Years ago I kept a day planner. One of those fancy loose-leaf books with a calendar, to do list, planning sheets and a section for contacts. I liked my day planner. Each morning I would review my calendar and to do list to see what was going on that day. Each afternoon I would carefully move items from one day to another according to the day's events. At the end of each year, I travelled to the planning store and looked at the planning and calendar pages and carefully chose the appropriate…

Creating a Homeschooler's Schedule- Include Your Child(ren)
Will I ever have a schedule that works that I can stick to?
Probably not, as things are always changing; the kids needs, my needs, our goals, etc. But I can keep trying, right?!…

We were elated to make it through our first soccer season with a crazy amount of practices and games each week (14). We wouldn’t have been able to do it on our own, but luckily car pools came together after a month for the two club soccer teams my girls joined. Still, there were challenges in setting up a car pool. Luckily a friend turned me on to Jooners, an …

Dinner Epiphany
From the moment I was pregnant I realized I was now a mom. Obviously, I knew that this new responsibility would bring about some changes in my life. To assist in the transition, there are tiny reminders along the way which make it all that much more real: The first time I said “just water for me will be fine,” while caressing my bulging belly, brought home that my 4 am martini nights are a thing of the past (or the very distant future). The first time I came home from girls night at 1am,…

15 Minutes to a Clean House
I like a clean house. As a stay-at-home, work-from-home mom, it keeps me sane. A clean home makes me more productive and helps me stay organized. The benefits are aplenty.
The problem is, I don’t actually like to clean. I’m guessing…

Tips for Organizing Your Kitchen
For those of you that know me, I am your typical A-Type personality….with a twist. I am extremely organized (daily to-do lists, weekly menus, etc), but if I don’t have the means to display that organization the way I visualize it, I will put off doing it. I used to call myself a procrastinating perfectionist, however, now use the label “Paralysis by Analysis!” Essentially, I over analyze things to the point that some of them never get done. My intentions are…

The Organized Pantry
It’s a rainy Saturday. The hubs had to run out to a job site this morning, so it’s just been Lucy and I manning the house. I have to say that I finally am feeling settled into our new house. Yes, we got everything put away and semi-organized really quickly after moving in. But it took a while to get things to a point where they were completely organized and easy to find, at least in the eyes of the eyes of this pregnant woman – who has gone completely crazy for organization…

Sensational Saturday - Sensible Ways to Get It Done
Sensational Saturday-my days are over full of people to love and things to do so I need a sensible way to get more done.
Sometimes I think my life would be better if I found a way to get more done each day. At other time, I think my life would be improved if I spent more time doing enjoyable activities. There have been occasions when I thought the secret to successful living could be found in the loving embrace of my children. I even admit I experimented with ways to make each…

My Laundry Room Mini-Makeover
I get on these deep cleaning kicks and large areas of my home get completely scrubbed and reorganized. I felt like I focused a lot of time and attention on my blog overhaul the week before, so my home was needing some tlc. My laundry room was so dysfunctional. It needed to be scrubbed and re-organized because it wasn't working and it's too big to be that problematic. Literally, the before pictures are exactly how it looked.... just keepin in real for ya. I'll let you know what I did and…

If you're like me and you have a child that brings home endless amounts of papers each day from school, then you might also be like me in that you have random piles of it all over (neatly stacked, at least!) I can't believe the amount of worksheets, drawings, etc that come home with him.
I read a very cute blog everyday called IHeart Organizing - some of you I'm sure have heard of it. Anyway, the blogger, Jen,…
