I had a dream last night that one of my children was seriously injured in a car accident.  I woke up and realized that I had actually been crying in my sleep.  I still feel a pain in my stomach when I relive the dream in my mind.  I keep telling myself that it wasn’t real, that it was just my mind playing cruel tricks on me in my sleep.  Yet, still, I hate that horrible feeling.  Has that ever happened to you?  When a dream seems so real that you have such a hard time believing it isn’t…

Part of this is because I'm older and more confident, but much of the reason is because I just know more now. Resources were available to me the second time that were not there the first time. When my daughter was born, we were a stickler for the rules.  We followed a sleep training book and never let her sleep in our bed. I’m going to preface this whole post by saying that pregnancy hormones can amplify your emotions in any situation.
