I recently started volunteering at my son's school in its consignment shop. I love the treasures you can while shopping second-hand. You can really find some gems and safe lots of money in the process.
Look what I scored this week!
How much do you think I paid for…Continue

In my seemingly never ending search to find legitimate ways to earn extra money, I've come across many different methods. Many turned up to be flops or scams or were too hard just to be "side hustles" for the pennies you earned. But occasionally I come across something that is legit, simple and you earn actual money.
Survey taking has earned a collective hatred from many…Continue

I have enjoyed shopping for a very long time. Years ago it was combat boots, stone-washed jeans, and nerdy graphic tees in my shopping bags. Nowadays it’s Converse sneakers, a dry pair of pants, and more nerdy graphic tees. But my shopping bags aren’t for me anymore. They’re usually for my…Continue

I originally started my blog out of a need for a creative outlet. Work had me tied in knots and I was desperately deprived of my self confidence and sanity. While it served this purpose, I have secretly hoped it would lead to some sort of financial success to the point that I could walk away from my job forever.
I just had no idea how.
Who is going to pay me to talk about me?
Yet I continued to hope and just stuck with it. Soon I was asked to…Continue

Happy Monday everyone!! I'm so excited that today is finally the day I get to reveal a little something I've been working on. After so many request for the products I've made for my own parties, I've decided to jump into the Etsy shop scene! (pause for applause) I will be offering some of my handmade goods and maybe a few printables as well. A few items from the…Continue

I've posted by latest blog entry. Its all about my favorite coffee shop. Sounds like a silly, frivolous thing to blog about, but when I first wrote this post I was working a full time job (at a day care center) and was a full time wife and mother so finding a bit of a sanctuary was anything but frivolous. So this is a must do if you are in the Saratoga area…Continue
Feels like I haven't I haven't posted all weekend. Oh wait, I haven't. Sorry wonderful people who read my blog. I've been working on a little side project that took up most of my free time this weekend.
But today I thought I'd give you a tutorial on how to take some "product shots." You know, pictures of things like jewelry or food or anything that you want to take a photo of but you want it to have a white background and to be sitting on a white surface. Does this make sense?…

A man stopped at a flower shop to order some flowers to be sent to his mother who lived two hundred miles away.
As he got out of his car he noticed a young girl sitting on the curb sobbing.
He asked her what was wrong and she replied, "I wanted to buy a red rose for my mother for Valentines Day. But I only have seventy-five cents, and a rose costs two dollars."
The man smiled and said, "Come…Continue
