A few weeks ago, I decided that it was time to let my son pick out a potty seat. We choose to get a potty seat that easily fits on the regular toilet, so that I wouldn’t have to retrain him to use the big potty once he had potty training down. Besides that the daycare he attends also uses a potty seat…Continue

By now, you’ve probably been exposed to the plentiful mud race or sporting race phenomenon. It seems like wherever you turn, someone is crawling in mud, jumping hurdles, diving in ice or lifting buckets of sand. Don’t you want in on the fun?
The best way to wrap your head around these races is to eliminate fear. How do you say goodbye to the worries of getting dirty, suffering a bruise from running…Continue

I'll preface this by saying I'm so glad both of my girls and I are finished with this journey!!
I was sitting, watching L's soccer practice while listening to this mom tell about 4 others "How To Potty Train" ... then I thought about my girls and the difference between the two of them. I could hear her saying (as she hit her fist to her palm to drive this point through) "You have to sit them on the potty every 30 minutes." I have to admit, I tried this and I…

I bought Eliza a potty this week. I figure we should get her interested in the potty and see what happens. She's always (in her 17 long months of life) been pretty good about making transitions and wanting to move to the next level, so I'm hoping she just kind of figures out this potty stuff on her own. I'm pretty sure she can. I'll just sit back and…Continue

As another Sunday winds down, I begin to relax and reflect on my weekend. It's been fairly mundane, with the exception of my husband and daughter being sick. We had a little fun earlier in the weekend, but that very well might be the reason why they are still sick. Maybe I should have made them stay in bed. Friday night we had a softball game with our co-ed team, to which we ten-run-ruled our opponents. My husband, as sick as he was feeling, still managed to hit a grand slam out of the park.…Continue

Wow! It has been far too long since I last posted up here at Bloggy Moms.
It makes me a little sad to think about it actually.
I've been on quite a journey over the past year, including finally accepting and growing accustomed to the ins and outs of having both Lupus and Psoriatic arthritis, letting go of a business that I finally realized I had no passion for, and starting a new business with my husband that we both love. AND the really fun part about our new business…Continue
