Well guys, according to my due date the bean and I are officially 33 weeks pregnant. According to the belly measurements that the doctor took last week we might be a week ahead of that…but I’m sticking with my original due date. Things get way too confusing when the date jumps all over the calendar. And besides, if he ends up coming a week earlier than originally expected that’s just a bonus, right? Thought so.

Well, our new house is almost completely pulled together. Five days. (Almost) a whole house. Pretty dang impressive, considering I’m 28 weeks pregnant! Today, I am officially 26 weeks pregnant. Which means I have about a week left of the second trimester. Which means we’re almost to the third trimester. Which means…the baby is almost HERE.

I feel very pregnant today. Just thought I’d kick things off with that. I’ve been hearing all about this laundry list of second trimester pregnancy symptoms and I think about five of them hit me with full force over the last week or so. Seriously. I’m going to preface this whole post by saying that pregnancy hormones can amplify your emotions in any situation. Even for the most cool of cucumbers, your emotions during pregnancy can pretty much make you a wreck in the midst of a stressful situation. I’m pretty good at talking myself out of being overly emotional – which has been a blessing over the past several months. We find out the bean’s gender TODAY. This is making the day tick by in the slowest way possible. This afternoon can’t come soon enough! 1. Pregnancy is an emotional sport. It's like every piece of your history comes to life and becomes a (very emotional) part of every decision you make. I'm not even an overly emotive person to begin with and sometimes I feel like a sixteen year old drama queen!
2. Frosted flakes are delicious, with or without milk.
