I love when plans work out for a spontaneous adventure. My friend was already coming to town, so I just offered her  the "choose your own adventure" option for her visit.  Try the luge, cross country skiing or attend an ice sculpture festival.  I was sooo excited that she wanted to try the luge too.  The weekend we went was the first time the track had been open all winter due to lack of snow.  This was a Christmas gift I've been impatiently waiting to use.

The thing about hot yoga is that you will have sweat coming from body parts you didn't know could sweat.  Like your elbows.  I was a little intimidated by the idea of trying a 75 minute class where I would be sweating while twisting my body into a human pretzel.  I've taken regular yoga classes before.  I can  feel my heart rate go up and blood get pumping in the cooler temps of those classes.  I was a little uncertain if I might be passing out at some point during the class.

Recently I joined my sister in law for a night of rock climbing.  I have gone several times before.  In fact our old youth room in our church had rock climbing walls.  My observation was that middle school students were always way more eager to climb than high schoolers.  I think the idea of looking stupid in front of their friends was a factor.
