Come on everybody it's (almost) Saturday! I heard that song coming home the other night from work. The lyrics describe a Saturday the way it should be- filled with roller skates, parties, and fun. The Power of a Hymn
As I sit here with tears in my eyes, I hear the lyrics to Near the Cross playing in the background. These hymns have brought to my memory the days of walking from Church to my grandmothers house 3 doors down.
On Sundays, I would walk to church from my apartment. I lived only a 10 minute walk from church and my grandmothers house. Sunday memories fill my head as I would enter this old country Baptist church, where a substantial amount of my family attended.…

Sometimes I feel like an Awful Mom
Sometimes I feel like an awful Mom. I have these two little children around me only after they come home from Daycare and I’m already breaking the “rules”. I let them watch more than an hour of T.V, I let them eat in while watching the T.V. I tell my kids that I’m busy when I’m working, and I say to my son “Don’t Cry about it” whatever “it” may be. So what AM I doing right?
