There are different toys that my little guy has loved as he goes through different phases. Right now, we’re going from the sitting to the mobile phase of babyhood – and his favorite things are becoming much more interactive. Here are our top five faves {right now}.
1. Fisher Price Brilliant Basics Rock a Stack. I got…

The life of a working mama. Aka a typical working day. Aka today. Literally.
Up with the babe.
Change the babe.
Let the dog out.
Make coffee.
Feed the dog.
Feed the babe.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mamas out there. I actually got a lovely little surprise from the hubs yesterday:
Gorgeous, right? I have a fabulous husband. And baby boy...Continue reading at The Mommyhood…

I didn’t want to post a follow up to the seven day cleanse immediately. Why? Because I knew that even though day seven was the final day of the cleanse, the product hadn’t finished it’s effect on my body. So here I am, ready to tell you all about day seven and beyond.
I felt the cleanse continuing to pull toxins out of my body for about a week after day seven. It’s strange – you can feel it from your muscles to your toes. But you feel it in a really good way. Your body…

If you’ve been to my house – when Lucy’s out and about – you know that she has no perspective of her size. In fact, she thinks she’s a lap dog. Ever had a ginormous moose of a dog try to sit in your lap? Yeah, it doesn’t work so well. What works evenless well is when she tries to climb up and around your neck on the back of the couch like a cat. That really doesn’t go over well with our guests. Which is why she’s generally confined to a room when we have people over. Unless of…

My baby is so dang cute. So cute that I have to share his most favorite thing of all: kissing/biting daddy’s head. It’s the best when Lucy has to take a look at what’s so great about licking dada’s head. I think it’s something to do with teething. Whatever it is, it’s adorable...Continue reading at The Mommyhood Project

Continuing with the cuteness…more photos of la babe!
And for those of you who asked about the cinnamon roll receipe, I’ll add that one later this week. They were delicious. Even the hubs – who isn’t huge on breakfast – had three. No joke.
But anyway: back to important stuff. Aka my baby. Aka the light of my life. Don’t believe me? You’re about to see why I just can’t get enough of the little man...Continue reading at …

So this morning I realized that it’s been a while since I posted baby pictures of my handsome little man. Oops! And then I went through all the photos on my camera and started editing them…and realized that posting all of these is going to take waymore than one blog entry. Which means a few things for ya’ll:
1. You get to see amazingly handsome photos of my babe right now.
2. You get to see adorably cute photos of my little man later.
3. You get to see how Lucy spent…

It’s official: I have ONE day left on my cleanse. Five things I’ve learned:
1. Seven days on a toxin cleanse is not as hard as it sounds. I thought I was going to be really pushing for this to be over by this point. In reality, I will probably do this cleanse every couple of months – my body is really feeling great!
2. Drinking lots of water is a really good thing...Continue reading at …

I figured that by day two – and for sure by day three – that I’d be really feeling the effects of this cleanse. That I’d be hungry, not feeling like myself and be really sick of drinking this stuff day in and day out. But I have to tell you guys the truth: I’m not hating it. I’m actually really enjoying it. With the fizz sticks, I can honestly say that the cleanse is actually tasty. When was the last time you…

If you didn’t already know this, I’m doing the Arbonne Seven Day Cleanse. And I just finished day number one.
Yesterday evening, I mixed the squeeze packet full of antioxidants and healthy cleanse-y things with 32 ounces of water. Tasted it. And almost spit it out of my mouth. Alone, the cleanse tastes terrible. But I knew this going into it – so I invested in a…

RJ and I went to The Blast – a rocket ship themed indoor playground – last week for an event sponsored by White Cloud Diapers. And I have to tell you…that place is pretty dang awesome. It’s got everything a kid could ask for – it was like a McDonald’s playland on steroids. And I felt like I belonged on a kid version of American Gladiators. Not.Joking.
See what I mean? Awesome.
Anyway – there were a bunch of mommy bloggers there with their kiddos. And RJ was…

The past few nights have been strange: I’ve been so dang exhausted that I feel like I could just fall asleep on my living room floor. And then when I wake up, my body creaks and groans and feels like it needs about twenty minutes just to limber up enough to go downstairs and make coffee. Speaking of coffee, if I don’t have some, forget it. I am utterly unproductive {and have a major headache} for a good two hours...Continue reading at …

1. Friday night in with the hubby. After a crazy busy week {thank you so muchsnowstorm in April. You threw our whole week for a loop…} we were bothexhausted on Friday. Enter: a giant pizza from DeLeos in Woodbury, cuddling with la babe and the DIY channel. All was right with the world again.
2. I actually had twenty minutes to give myself a mani/pedi last night. For the firsttime since RJ was born, I actually took the time to not do anything else. And…

I have this problem. Ok, more than a problem – it’s a really bad habit that I’ve gotten into over the last couple of months. I am absolutely, positively addicted to sweets. I think it’s from all of the carrying around of la babe. Because he has been a bit of a monkey lately. And lord knows it’s not easy to have an extra 20 pound person strapped to your chest. So this extra workout {can I call it that? I think I can…} makes me extra hungry. For sugary goodness that…

So I have a confession for ya’ll. I am absolutely in lurve with the Finish Quantum dish detergent pods. In full disclosure, it makes me feel incredibly old to be talking about how much I love a cleaner for my dishwasher. But I also realize that sharing this little piece of domestic happiness is probably something that you guys want to know about. Right? Right.
Anyway. We’ve been really unhappy with how our dishes have been coming out of our…

I realized the other day that I really haven’t been as proactiveabout writing as I need to be lately. I’ve been telling myself that it is due to a smattering of things – like work, a six month old, helping my hubby with his company…lots of things. And then I read a previous post of my own about blogging. And it said that if you want to have a successful blog, you need to write at least five times a week. And you know what? I was completely right when I…

I don’t know how it happened. It seems like it was just yesterday when my baby ate, slept, pooped and repeated. All.day.long. He was always up for a cuddle. He fit into teeny tiny outfits that were oh-my-gawsh so adorable I can’t even stand it.
And now…well, he’s still a baby. And once or twice a day he’s down for some cuddle time with mama. But for the most part he’s all little boy. He sits on his own. He’s into 9 and 12 month clothes. He has his own HUGE…

A few weeks ago I recorded a video about my second month with Arbonne. And I had to re-record the video several times – not because I messed up, but because I couldn’t seem to get the lighting right so that I didn’t look quite as pasty as I actually was. That’s one of the hazards of living in the frigid tundra: you have a propensity to become as white as a ghost if we have a long winter. So I made the executive decision to start spray tanning. And even though…

Last time I posted I gave you a list of products every mama needs for their baby. And there were obviously some things that I left off of that list – but it was for good reason. Because some things that you’re going to buy really do depend on what you’re going to use them for. And some really depend on your child. So for all of ya’ll that were…
