The last couple of days have been really hard for me. Hunter’s fit throwing is becoming more intense and we really never know when she will explode or if she will slip a knife off the counter and use it. Colby and I know what we need to do to help her, but it is a small comfort after nights filled with tantrums.

We also got a puppy. Indigo is a beautiful, energy filled, ball of fur, but she is a smart little Aussie left at home with me all day. I’ve never had a puppy before.…

Unimaginable

The week before Christmas, I noticed on a friend’s Facebook page that her husband had just suffered a massive heart attack over the weekend. Cinnamon Buns

I know you are all aware of my love for spas, and all things spa-like. I imagine Heaven is like Bath & Bodyworks. I can never walk out of this particular store without a heavy bag and a lighter pocketbook.

New Year...New Panties

Despite the fact I don’t really make New Year resolutions, there is something fresh about a new year. It’s almost as if the weight and worries of last year have been removed from my shoulders. Like most people, I would like to lose weight, exercise more, spend more time meditating, and make more time with my husband, but why is it we think about all of these things all at once, in January, and not in March, or July, or September?

A Flock of Something

On Monday, I attended a funeral. My stepmother’s mother passed away and I wanted to support her in her loss. The funeral was in Memphis, MO, 230 miles from my home. That translates into a four-hour drive one-way, give or take 30 minute, depending on how heavy my foot is. I decided to drive up for the funeral and drive home all in one day.

NCC-1701

I’ve never really considered myself a trekkie, but I was recently watching the movie, Star Trek, and I was immediately transported back to my childhood at warp speed. I know I am a little behind, but I don’t see many movies in the theater. I had heard the movie was about the original Star Trek characters and how they all came together. I wasn’t disappointed.
