I walked into Dr.B's office for the first time in 6 weeks, that's not including the debacle that occurred last Thursday. 6. WHOLE. WEEKS. When you're dealing with a mental illness 6 weeks away from your health care provider is equal to an eternity.

Hope Floats In Ontario

Psychiatrist Office Shenanigans

I knew something wasn't right the second I walked into Dr.B's office. It was a stark contrast to the calm serene ambiance he creates with the dimmed lights and classical music playing overhead. It was quiet and brightly lit and there were no fidgeting patients waiting to be seen.

Free Loaders

We have ants.

Crawling on the kitchen counter. Scaling the walls. Creeping like illegal immigrants across the border with 20 kids in tow including their cousins twice removed and their family pet across my living room floor. And they're not just any ants. Missing You

I could see Chunky's arm waving excitedly good-bye from the porch as we drove away from my Mother In law's. When I could barely visualize his busy toddler body in the rear view mirror, I had already begun to feel the pain of missing him. I Love Working In Detroit

I was sitting at my desk working.

It Keeps Getting Better

Friday was such a beautiful day to waste indoors so I seized it as an opportunity to have a fun afternoon at the park with Chunky. Just me and him. I walked down to the end of our street with Chunky in tow, soaking in the sun's warm rays. When a cool breeze had passed, I took in a heavy breath and closed my eyes briefly. Secret Mommy-hood Confession Saturday

I think that I may tell my son that he’s bad…a…lot. So much so, that when an elderly lady at the library asked him what his name was he proudly said:

”I bad”

About Turning 30

Last night as I ate my weight in animal crackers, I started thinking about the final 2 days in my life where I can claim to be a 20 something year old. As each delectable happy facker cracker skipped and hopped it’s way to my mouth…legs first of course because it’s funny…I decided that I needed to stop being so negative. Like there are far worse things than turning 30. Like say, waking up to find your head sewn to the carpet.
